How many watts does a 2004 Dodge Neon stock stereo receiver have?

I want to get a new stereo deck non-expensive. The stock stereo sounds good already, but I want to get something a little better in wattage comparison.

So would anybody know how much watts the 2004 Dodge Neon stock radio receiver has?

thanks

  1. An 04′ Dodge Neon stock head unit puts out about 12 to 15 watts RMS. As so, you can replace it with almost any aftermarket head unit that will offer you much more additional features such as ipod/mp3 conectivity or mp3 cd player. The best way to improve your sound in my opinion is to install a slightly higher output headunit and also change your door speakers to something a litter higher quality. I changed my stock head unit to a sony xplod one and all 4 door speakers to polk audio multiple channel speakers and noticed a great deal of improvement without having to add an amp or subs although the sony unit has outputs for that as well if you ever wanted to in the future.
